Huzhou Writing Brush Intangible Cultural Heritage exhibition hall under the Huzhou Writing Brush Factory in Shanlian Town, Huzhou City, East China's Zhejiang Province, opened to the public on October 14.
The exhibition area was transformed from the original Huzhou writing brush production workshop, and consists of three parts: the introduction of the production process, display of brushes and culture experience.
Shanlian Town is the birthplace and main producing area of Huzhou writing brushes in China. In 2006, the skill of making Huzhou writing brush was included among the first national intangible cultural heritages.
The town has made greater efforts to develop the industry of Huzhou writing brush in recent years, and it has launched supporting projects for cultural tourism, including organizing the Huzhou writing brush research camp and establishing a national cultural exchange center.
